Data and AI Lead

Tesat-Spacecom GmbH & Co. KG is looking for a Data and AI Lead at the Stuttgart Area / Backnang site. Permanent contract.

• Responsibility for the strategic direction, development and further development of the data strategy and AI portfolio in close cooperation with all departments
• Identifying, evaluating and prioritizing data-driven business cases and AI use cases along the entire value chain
• Implementing modern data governance standards together with the Data Officer: defining and implementing guidelines and processes for consistent capture and maintenance of company master data
• Designing and establishing a scalable, company-wide data architecture: promoting the "single source of truth" for critical company data to support data-based decisions
• Implementing the productive use of generative AI (LLMs), machine learning and agent-based workflows at TESAT to sustainably optimize business processes
• Controlling and monitoring progress and budget development of AI initiatives to ensure efficient resource use and measurable project success
• Long-term evaluation and effectiveness review of implemented business cases and AI systems including defining and implementing guidelines for ethical, transparent and lawful use of AI

• Successfully completed degree in business administration or natural sciences
• Practical experience implementing complex data science, machine learning or AI projects
• Experience with modern AI approaches (e.g. GenAI, LLMs, MLOps, vector databases) and agile project management methods
• Very good process and product knowledge in a high-technology company
• Structured and analytical approach to solving new, complex tasks and problems
• Physical and mental resilience, assertiveness and conflict ability as well as excellent analytical skills, hands-on mentality and professional demeanor
• Enjoyment of the challenges of the digital age and a visionary, goal-oriented, communicative and implementation-strong personality
