Manufacturing Engineer Optics

Planning, development and optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes in optics at Tesat-Spacecom, including building production and test stations. Permanent, entry-level position.

• Planning, development and continuous optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes in optics
• Development, set-up and commissioning of production and test stations
• Analysis of existing production processes and implementation of measures to optimise efficiency, quality and cost
• Creation and maintenance of work instructions, production documentation and technical standards
• Carrying out process validations and supporting the introduction of new products
• Support of production preparation as needed, in the form of manufacturing resource planning and ramp-up management tasks
• Selection, procurement and qualification of equipment and production facilities
• Close cooperation with development, quality assurance and purchasing
• Defining design rules and ensuring they are followed in the product development process. Helping find solutions if design rules cannot be met
• Support with error analyses and implementation of lasting corrective and improvement measures
• Work on lean management and improvement projects
• Support in preparing quotations

• Successfully completed degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or work preparation
• Knowledge of developing and optimising manufacturing processes and equipment
• Ideally experience in building and automating production and test stations
• Confident use of common office applications and SAP in a production environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or comparable methods is an advantage
• Analytical, structured and independent way of working
• Strong communication skills, teamwork and assertiveness
• Fluent German and good English, spoken and written
