Books inspire you? People too? Then make both your profession. In your apprenticeship as a bookseller (m/f/d) you dive deep into the world of books. You deal with new releases, genres and various topics and develop a feeling for which book suits which customer. You get to know our diverse assortment and advise our customers personally – from books to games to gift ideas. Together with your team you ensure that every visit to Thalia becomes a special experience.

Advise customers: You find the right books, games, gift ideas and much more – and inspire with your personal advice. Become a favorite bookseller: You discover new titles, write your own reviews and share your personal reading recommendations. Shape our assortments: You present our products creatively and create an atmosphere that invites browsing and discovering. Create special experiences: You support events such as readings and ensure unforgettable moments with your team. Shape book retail: You gain insights into sales, checkout, goods receipt and processes behind the scenes.

You have at least an intermediate school diploma (Mittlere Reife) or are about to graduate. You have good to very good German skills and communicate confidently in German, orally and in writing. You need this for advising our customers and for vocational school lessons. You like to approach people and enjoy advising them personally. You love books and enjoy digital offerings and diverse thematic worlds.

Fair apprenticeship remuneration: 1,140 € in the first, 1,260 € in the second and 1,410 € gross in the third apprenticeship year plus vacation and Christmas bonus.
