Apprenticeship as a Bookseller

During your bookseller apprenticeship, you will immerse yourself in the world of books, learn about new releases, genres and topics, and develop a feel for making the right recommendations. You will advise customers and learn about Thalia's diverse range.

Recommend suitable books, games and gift ideas and provide personal customer advice; discover new titles, write reviews and share reading recommendations; present products creatively; support events such as readings; gain insight into sales, checkout, goods receiving and internal processes.

At least an intermediate school qualification or close to completing it; good to very good German skills and confident spoken and written communication; enjoyment of working with people and providing personal advice; a love of books and an interest in digital offerings and diverse subject areas.
