It all started with a small bookstore in Hamburg – today we are the market leader with over 570 bookstores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. But our heart still beats for the same thing: inspiring people with stories. In your apprenticeship as a bookseller (m/f/d) you will do exactly that. You will learn how to advise customers, design bookstores and organize our assortment. You will become part of a team that loves books just as much as you do, and ensure that our bookstore remains a place where people feel comfortable – whether they are looking for their next favorite book or just want to browse. • Customer advice and sales in the various departments of the bookstore
• Activities in the area of cash register and cash reconciliation
• Target-group-oriented design and presentation of our book-related assortments
• Research in databases and merchandise management analyses
• Organization and implementation of events, e.g. author readings

• A good secondary school diploma, technical college entrance qualification or high school diploma
• A sense for trends, interest in digital worlds as well as enjoyment in working with a wide variety of media
• Customer- and service-oriented thinking and acting
• High communication skills and a positive attitude as well as initiative, teamwork and reliability
