Social Educator, Psychologist for Learning Therapy and School Coaching

For our successful, innovative institute for learning therapy, we are looking for committed staff with pedagogical experience to support school coaching and conduct learning therapy for children with reading/spelling difficulties and dyscalculia. The position consists of two areas, divided into morning and afternoon: In the morning, school coaching takes place, supporting children with emotional impairments in everyday school life. In the afternoon, learning therapy takes place in the form of individual therapy to support children with significant learning disabilities such as dyslexia or dyscalculia. In addition to covering the costs for certified further training as a learning therapist (according to BVL or FiL e.V.), we offer an attractive, performance-based remuneration and a large degree of creative freedom. The position is a part-time role with approx. 20-30 hours per week in Salzgitter.

• In school coaching:
• Collaboration with students, teachers, and families
• Supervision of school children with emotional impairments in everyday school life
• Activating support for children during school attendance, coaching of the environment

• In learning therapy:
• Planning and implementation of learning therapy measures with students who have significant learning disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalculia
• Documentation of therapy goals, progress, and outcomes
• Close cooperation with the social and school environment of the children

• Enjoyment of individual work with children
• Reliability and empathy
• Completed university degree in pedagogy, psychology, or therapy (e.g., psychologists, teachers, educational scientists, social pedagogues, or social workers) or equivalent
• Willingness to participate in the approx. 2-year further training to become a learning therapist
• Class B driver's license
