About this Apprenticeship
TKMS is hiring a structural metalworker for metalworking and shipbuilding in Kiel. This permanent full time role involves making and assembling ship structures and components. The start date is flexible; remote work is unavailable.
What You'll Learn
- Make and assemble ship structures from steel and aluminium
- Produce components using technical digital drawings and work plans
- Carry out welding in line with current regulations
- Install and assemble ship components on board
- Check the quality of manufactured components and assemblies
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training as a structural metalworker specialising in metalworking and shipbuilding, or a comparable qualification
- Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant training regulations; additional forging skills are desirable
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and nights
- Technical understanding and a team focused approach
- Strong awareness of quality and safety
