About this Apprenticeship
TKMS stands for outstanding engineering and innovation in surface and underwater shipbuilding. A painter (m/f/d) is wanted for coating work in Kiel.
What You'll Learn
- Carrying out sanding, cleaning and filling work as specified
- Performing all manual coating work including painting, varnishing and special coatings
- Marking pipes, ship names and draft marks
- Filling in forms for procurement processes and documenting the work done
- Mixing paints, monitoring paint stock and passing orders to the responsible department
Requirements
- Completed training as a painter and varnisher or several years of experience in heavy corrosion-protection coating in submarine construction
- Practical experience carrying out all coating work independently in changing workshops and on board according to given standards and instructions
- Strong team spirit and excellent team-oriented communication skills
- High personal responsibility and independent work under changing conditions
- Willingness to make regional business trips and work flexible schedules
