About this Apprenticeship
TKMS is one of the leading global system providers in the design and construction of submarines and naval surface ships, as well as maritime security technologies. They are looking for a machinist for 5-axis milling machines in Kiel.
What You'll Learn
- You machine large components on CNC-controlled boring mills and milling machines.
- You independently clamp and align components on the machine.
- You produce fits, running surfaces and demanding surfaces.
- You carry out crane and lifting work.
- You select cutting tools and optimize CNC programs.
- You carry out inspection and quality assurance measures.
Requirements
- You have a completed vocational qualification as a machining mechanic in milling technology.
- You are confident with CNC machine controls (Heidenhain 640) and have experience with 5-axis milling machines.
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in CNC machining of large components.
- You are responsible, a team player and willing to work shifts.
- You have good knowledge of IT systems and CNC programming.
