Trainee Management Apprenticeship: Abitur Graduate & Retail Business Manager Program

For the training start on 01.08.2027, toom is looking for future toomworkers for an apprenticeship as a junior manager in the DIY store sector. Within 18 months you earn your qualification as a retail clerk, followed by 22 months of further training as a certified retail business manager (Handelsfachwirt) and the trainer certificate (AdA).

• In the program for Abitur graduates and retail business managers for future leaders, you are involved in our company from day one and get to know retail, toom and all processes up close on the store floor from different perspectives
• Within 18 months you already earn your title as a retail clerk (m/f/d), then complete the further training as certified retail business manager and the trainer certificate (AdA) in 22 months
• You go through the various specialist departments in the store, acquire specific knowledge of our ranges and learn how to advise customers optimally and conduct sales conversations
• You also accompany the store's managers in their daily work and are perfectly prepared for starting as a junior manager
• Approximately every 6 weeks you attend 5-day theory modules at our training provider in Neuwied and benefit from excellent learning conditions thanks to small course groups

• General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or university of applied sciences entrance qualification
• Outgoing personality and enjoyment of dealing with customers
• Interest in retail and in our DIY store range
• A high level of communication skills
• Enjoyment of working in a team and later leading one yourself
• High commitment, resilience and plenty of talent for self-organization
• Regional flexibility (for the further training as certified retail business manager)
