About this Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship in toom's garden centre starting on 1 August 2027: train as a sales assistant in two years or a retail sales specialist in three years. Training takes place during store opening hours.
What You'll Learn
- Learn about the garden centre's different departments, from houseplants and garden building materials to lawnmowers and barbecues
- Take responsibility for your own projects
- Keep building your skills through apprentice seminars and specialist training to prepare for your exams
- Learn about advising customers, displaying goods, operating the till, and daily work in the garden department.
- In the retail sales specialist programme, also deepen your business knowledge, take responsibility for your own projects, and develop your sales skills.
Requirements
- Enjoy helping customers find what they want
- A friendly manner
- Openness and enjoyment of communicating with people
- A strong interest in the garden centre's product range
- At least a Hauptschulabschluss school leaving certificate
