About this Apprenticeship
Train in the garden department at toom's DIY store in Balingen from 1 September 2027. The sales assistant apprenticeship lasts two years, and the retail sales apprenticeship lasts three years.
What You'll Learn
- Learn about the garden centre's different departments, from houseplants and garden building materials to lawnmowers and barbecues
- Take responsibility for your own projects
- Keep developing through apprentice seminars and specialist training, helping you prepare well for your exams
- Two-year garden sales assistant apprenticeship: Learn customer advice, product displays, till duties and the daily running of the garden department.
- Three-year garden retail sales apprenticeship: Also deepen your business knowledge, take responsibility for your own projects and develop your sales skills.

- A friendly manner
- Openness and enjoyment of communicating with people
- A strong interest in the garden centre's products
- At least a lower secondary school leaving certificate
