About this Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship in the garden department at toom's DIY store in Bad Salzuflen, starting on 1 August 2027. Choose between two years of sales assistant training and three years of retail clerk training.
What You'll Learn
- Learn about the different garden centre departments, from houseplants and garden building materials to lawnmowers and barbecues
- Take responsibility for your own projects
- Build your skills through apprentice seminars and specialist training to prepare well for your exams
- During the two year sales assistant apprenticeship, learn about customer advice, product displays, till work and daily operations in the garden department.
- During the three year retail clerk apprenticeship, also build your knowledge of business topics, take responsibility for your own projects and develop your sales skills.

- Enjoy helping customers find what they want
- A friendly manner
- Openness and enjoyment of communicating with people
- A strong interest in garden centre products
- At least a lower secondary school leaving certificate
