About this Apprenticeship
Train in the garden department at toom's DIY store in Bremen-Blumenthal. Choose a two-year sales assistant apprenticeship or a three-year retail assistant apprenticeship. Respect, appreciation and support are central to the team.
What You'll Learn
- Learn about the garden centre's different departments, from houseplants and garden building materials to lawnmowers and barbecues
- Take responsibility for your own projects
- Keep developing through apprentice seminars and specialist training, helping you prepare well for your exam
- Garden sales assistant: Learn about advising customers, displaying goods, operating the till and the daily running of the garden department.
- Garden retail assistant: Also deepen your business knowledge, take responsibility for your own projects and develop your sales skills.

- Enjoy helping customers get what they want
- A friendly manner
- Openness and an enjoyment of talking to people
- A strong interest in garden centre products
- At least a lower secondary school leaving certificate
