About this Apprenticeship
Part-time position at toom for up to 100 hours per month, initially lasting 6 months. Part of the REWE Group, toom operates more than 300 stores nationwide and employs around 18,000 people.
What You'll Learn
- Welcome, serve and say goodbye to customers in a friendly manner
- Process checkout transactions smoothly and accurately for stock control, and handle payments responsibly
- Provide services such as equipment and van rental, and process online reservations
- Handle complaints, warranty claims and returns
- Answer customer questions and refer them to colleagues when needed
- Keep the checkout area tidy and appealing, and replenish goods
Requirements
- Experience in retail or wholesale, for example as a retail or wholesale assistant, cashier, or a career changer from another industry
- Enjoyment of direct customer contact, a focus on finding solutions, and organizational skills
- A careful, structured and efficient approach to work
- Confidence using inventory management systems
