About this Apprenticeship
Support goods receipt, storage, shelf stocking and customer collections at toom's DIY store. The role initially lasts 12 months.
What You'll Learn
- Receive and check goods, store them and place repeat orders
- Apply price and shelf labels, replenish goods and keep the sales area appealing
- Pick goods and hand them over to customers
- Load and unload trucks while following safety rules, including securing loads and handling dangerous goods
- Work with your DIY store team and external partners
Requirements
- Experience in retail, for example as a retail sales assistant, or in logistics, for example as a warehouse logistics specialist, warehouse operator or business logistics specialist, or experience in another industry as a career changer
- Knowledge of inventory management systems
- Enjoyment of communicating, willingness to help and readiness to get involved
- A careful and independent approach to work
- Ideally, a forklift licence
