Part-Time Garden Building Materials Sales Assistant, Career Changers Welcome

Part-time sales role in garden building materials at toom, working 100 to 130 hours per month, initially for 12 months. The role focuses on customer advice, product orders and arranging the sales area.

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable advice and place product orders for customers
• Deliver good service and respond to customers' wishes
• Take responsibility for arranging and displaying products and promotional goods attractively in your sales area
• Label prices and put up signs
• Make decisions within your area of responsibility, for example when handling complaints, and suggest ideas for the product range

• Experience in retail or wholesale, for example as a retail or wholesale sales specialist, sales assistant or customer adviser, or in a trade such as gardening or landscaping, or experience from another industry as a career changer
• Knowledge of gardening and landscaping products and a willingness to help with practical tasks
• Enjoyment of direct customer contact and selling our products, strong communication skills and a focus on finding solutions
• Organisational skills, for example to prioritise and organise daily work independently
• Willingness to use digital tools and inventory management systems
