Garden Department Sales Assistant

Sales and customer advice in the garden department at toom, part of the REWE Group. Duties include placing customer orders, displaying products and handling customer requests. Applicants moving from other industries are also welcome.

• Giving friendly, knowledgeable advice and placing product orders for customers
• Providing good service and responding to customers' wishes
• Taking responsibility for appealing displays and placement of garden products and promotional goods in your sales area
• Adding price labels and signs
• Making decisions within your authority, for example on complaints, and suggesting ideas for the product range

• Experience in retail or wholesale, for example as a sales assistant or customer adviser, or in a trade such as gardening, tree nursery work, floristry, landscaping or technical work, or experience from another industry
• An interest in our garden products and willingness to help with practical tasks
• Enjoyment of direct customer contact and selling our products, with good communication and problem solving skills
• Organisational skills, such as setting priorities and planning daily tasks independently
• Willingness to use digital tools and stock management systems
