Development Engineer High-Power Fiber Lasers from Erbium and Ytterbium Fiber Laser Sources

• As an expert in fiber laser technology, you design and develop fiber laser sources based on ytterbium and erbium, from theoretical design to practical implementation in the laboratory. In close collaboration with suppliers, you select suitable subcomponents and manage technical communication. From given requirements, you independently derive laboratory tasks and develop suitable test concepts. The preparation, setup and execution of demanding laboratory tests are part of your daily work, including the safe and precise handling of high-power lasers and optical fibers. You analyze and document your results in technical reports and presentations. Through structured preparation, you create the basis for well-founded development decisions. With your commitment to innovation, you support cross-divisional teams in production and service and actively drive the maintenance and continuous improvement of laboratory equipment and measuring instruments.

• A successfully completed degree in physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field with a focus on optics or laser technology forms your professional basis, at least at master's level or with a comparable qualification. You have relevant experience in the design of optical fiber laser systems and have deepened this through independent laboratory experiments and their execution and evaluation. You are proficient in handling optical fibers. Theoretical and practical knowledge of erbium-based fiber laser sources rounds off your profile. Conceptual thinking and an analytical working method characterize you, combined with the creativity to develop new solution approaches in laser development.
