• As an FPGA developer (m/f/d) of innovative control solutions, you develop and optimize complex hardware and firmware modules for the control of demanding laser systems. In doing so, you play a decisive role in shaping how future generations of high-performance lasers operate.
• Through your expertise in hardware-related programming, you realize firmware for real-time control tasks based on microcontrollers and FPGAs. Your analytical thinking helps you translate complex requirements into elegant solutions.
• With functional and temporal simulations as well as verification of hardware and software modules, you ensure quality and reliability – particularly important in laser technology, where precision is non-negotiable.
• You independently configure data-technical connections via serial and parallel bus systems to various subsystems. You create the digital interfaces that hold the overall system together.
• You independently create test specifications for hardware and software functions and document all software and VHDL functions carefully. This contributes to functions being reliably commissioned in the overall device.

• You have a solid technical foundation – whether through a completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification plays a subordinate role. We value expertise, regardless of how you acquired it.
• You can demonstrate relevant professional experience in the development of hardware and software for electronic devices. Particularly valuable is FPGA programming with VHDL as well as sound knowledge of C, C++, Python, and Tcl.
• You work routinely with Xilinx/AMD Vivado and Intel Quartus and are not deterred by new tools – you enjoy learning new things.
• Your analytical mindset, logical problem-solving, and structured way of working help you master even complex challenges. An independent, goal-oriented way of working is a matter of course for you.
• Negotiation-proficient German skills in word and writing as well as good English skills enable you to communicate in international contexts – and of course within our diverse team.
