Internship in Machine Learning and Computer Vision (Summer Semester 2027)

Internship at TRUMPF during your studies: take on exciting projects, actively contribute your ideas and work closely with experienced colleagues. The start is in the summer semester 2027.

• As part of the team, you help design, implement and validate ML pipelines and computer vision algorithms for process monitoring and quality assurance in laser processing
• By rendering image data from CAD models, you create the basis for realistic training datasets
• You actively contribute to developing camera-based sensor concepts and to collecting and preprocessing training data, and you handle training and tuning of CNN and deep learning models for image recognition
• In close cooperation with software developers, you help deliver effective ML/CV solutions
• You regularly present your progress and results in team meetings

• A degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, computer vision, deep learning or a comparable field forms your professional foundation
• You bring solid knowledge and/or practical experience in as many as possible of the concepts deep learning, CNNs, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch and Blender
• Basic to solid knowledge of image-based generative AI rounds off your technical profile
• First experience in object-oriented software development, bash scripting or GPU architecture is an advantage
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions, teamwork, good communication skills and good German and English skills, spoken and written
