• In our laser laboratory, you take over the design and realization of novel free-beam setups for modern ultrashort pulse lasers
• In doing so, you specifically investigate the technology limits of the optical systems used and thus gain valuable insights for their further development
• With Python and/or C#, you develop wave-optical simulations that serve as a basis for evaluating new optical concepts
• Likewise, you use these programming languages for experiment control and evaluation of experimental data
• By conducting experiments on laser material processing, you gain practical insights into the application of future optical systems

• Your studies in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, optics, photonics, or a comparable technical or scientific field form the basis for this activity, alternatively you have a comparable qualification
• You already have first practical experience and theoretical knowledge in the areas of laser, optics, and mathematics
• With programming skills in Python, C#, or Matlab, you confidently address technical questions
• A structured and independent working style as well as a high degree of conscientiousness characterize you
