Area Practice Instruction Operations / Anesthesia Technical Assistance (ATA/OTA)

In order to meet our high standards for high-quality training in the OR and anesthesia area as well as for the successful professional recognition of international skilled workers, we rely on professional expertise, commitment, and team spirit – preferably with you! Shape practice instruction across the UKM in the OR and anesthesia area and implement the SAFE instruction concept – for trainees and international skilled workers in the process of professional recognition.

• Co-design the further development of the Department for Practice Instruction and Quali4Care with focus on OR / anesthesia area (OTA / ATA)
• Ensure and implement legally and collectively agreed practice instruction for OTA / ATA (e.g. according to ATA-OTA-G / ATA-OTA-APrV) – including planning, documentation and evaluation
• Plan, conduct and follow up process- and competence-oriented practice instructions according to the SAFE concept in OR and anesthesia (pre-, interim- and final talks, learning and work tasks, reflection, performance assessment)
• Design and implement area-specific learning situations
• Conduct simulation and skills training
• Participate in practical examinations and internal competence assessments
• Onboard and professionally support new practice instructors in OR
• Supervise job shadowing, network work
• Structured learning support for international skilled workers in the practical setting of the professional recognition process, support with theory-practice transfer
• Annual participation in mandatory vocational pedagogical further training (at least 24 hours) and active co-design of internal further training and exchange formats

• Completed training as Operating Technical Assistant (OTA) (gn*) or Anesthesia Technical Assistant (ATA) (gn*)
• Qualified nursing professional, health and nurse (gn*) with relevant specialist further training in OR or intensive care and anesthesia nursing
• Nursing professional with vested rights regulation for practice instruction
• At least 1 year of professional experience in the respective field (OR or anesthesia)
• Vocational pedagogical additional qualification for practice instruction (at least 300 hours) or equivalent proof or current participation in the qualification
• Proof of continuous vocational pedagogical further training or willingness to complete it bindingly
• Joy in instruction, guidance and assessment, pronounced communication and team skills, reflective and appreciative attitude
• Experience in international recognition processes desirable
• High intercultural competence
