Postdoctoral Researcher - Bioinformatics and Reproductive Genetics

Fixed-term for 2 years, full-time with 38.5 hours at the Institute of Reproductive Genetics. The role investigates genetic causes of reproductive disorders using genomic technologies and bioinformatics.

Apply computational and statistical methods to identify genetic variants associated with male infertility and non-hormonal contraception; independently develop and investigate research questions; analyze and interpret large-scale next-generation and long-read sequencing datasets; coordinate, document and manage genomic datasets; present research findings; contribute to or lead scientific manuscripts.

Completed doctorate in computational biology, bioinformatics, biomedicine, human genetics, life sciences or a related discipline; substantial experience with next-generation sequencing data analysis; knowledge of NGS formats and genomic workflows; programming skills in Python, R or similar languages and Linux command-line experience; ability to conduct independent research collaboratively; strong interest in reproductive and medical genetics; professional English and ideally good German.
