Apprenticeship as a Pool Operations Specialist

Three-year dual apprenticeship in the swimming pools of Bielefeld University, including practical placements, vocational school and internal training in safety, pool technology, hygiene and customer service. Start date: 1 August 2027.

Pool supervision; exposure to pool technology and administrative procedures; rescue techniques; water treatment; compliance with hygiene regulations; customer service; cooperation with university sports; organisation and service in pool operations.

At least an intermediate school-leaving certificate; good German, mathematics and science knowledge; reliability, attentiveness and decision-making ability; physical fitness; strong swimming ability; willingness to work shifts; friendliness, customer focus, communication skills and teamwork.

Training pay from 1,356.82 euros in the first year under the TVA-L BBiG agreement; fixed term for the duration of training; full-time or part-time work; subsidy for savings benefits and supplementary occupational provision; bonus for successfully completing the apprenticeship; 30 days of annual leave plus Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve off; internal and external training opportunities; possibility of an international placement; good public transport connections and free parking; open working atmosphere; varied activities; cafeteria, restaurant, kiosk and other on-site services; health, counselling, prevention and university sports programmes.
