Dual Study Program for Physician Assistant

Dual study program with alternating theory and practice phases in 12-week cycles. Duration: 6 semesters/3 years. University: Duale Hochschule Plauen. Deployment in patient-related areas of the Surgical Center.

Work in patient-related areas (wards, ICU, OR, patient admission, functional diagnostics) to support medical and nursing teams. Assistance during rounds and medical procedures (dressing changes, patient positioning, OR preparation). Rotation through various departments of the Surgical Center. Participation in clinical projects to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and process optimization. Documentation of medical procedures and findings. Attendance at interdisciplinary meetings.

General or subject-specific university entrance qualification or equivalent recognized degree. Completed three-year training in a healthcare profession. Extensive practical experience. Interest in direct patient care. For foreign applicants: German B2 language certificate and recognition of school diploma by the Saxon State Office for Schools and Education.
