Lead Occupational Safety Specialist

The position starts on 01.01.2027, full-time, initially fixed-term for 24 months. A longer-term collaboration is intended. Pay follows the grading rules of the in-house collective agreement and may be in pay group U12 if personal requirements are met.

• Professional and personnel leadership of the occupational safety team including deployment planning, task prioritization and project assignment for all supported facilities, systems and operations
• Strategic development of occupational safety in close cooperation with the occupational health service
• Taking over and organizing safety instructions and helping train safety officers
• Advising company management and managers on all questions of occupational health and safety according to ASiG, DGUV V 2 and hazardous and biological substances regulations
• Creating, maintaining and quality-assuring work process descriptions and risk assessments considering all occupational safety legal requirements
• Carrying out safety inspections of operating facilities, work equipment and work procedures as well as regular workplace walkthroughs
• Analyzing workplace accidents, developing prevention measures, creating accident reports and reporting to the board and accident insurers
• Helping develop workplace health management and health reporting as part of management review

• Successfully completed training as an occupational safety specialist according to § 4 DGUV Regulation 2
• Several years of professional experience in the relevant field
• Ideally you have already gained leadership experience
• Organizational and management skills to expand and develop the area
• Special expertise in occupational safety law, especially workplace law, operational safety and hazardous substances
• Leadership, advisory and communication skills
