Coordinator / Research Associate for Hospital Emergency and Response Planning at IRuN

The Institute for Rescue and Emergency Medicine (IRuN) at UKSH is seeking support for hospital emergency and response planning at its Kiel and Lübeck sites as soon as possible. This permanent part-time position involves 19.25 hours per week. IRuN coordinates emergency medicine education and training across campuses and internal quality management for emergency care.

• Support the leadership of UKSH hospital emergency and response planning and contribute to the associated working groups in Kiel and Lübeck
• Strategically coordinate all measures and participants involved in hospital emergency and response planning at both sites
• Maintain and expand existing preparedness, alert and action plans, and develop new plans as part of a comprehensive hospital emergency and response plan
• Contribute to committee work with external parties

• A completed degree, for example in healthcare management, risk management, safety management, disaster management or a comparable subject; where applicable, training as an organisational emergency medical services commander or equivalent
• Extensive professional experience as a safety engineer or in public authorities or organisations, with strong knowledge of disaster response plans, hospital process organisation and leadership of interdisciplinary working groups
• Strong knowledge of communication techniques for emergency response and knowledge of regulatory standards, such as the KAEP handbook, DV 100 and BSIG
• Enthusiasm for the long-term development of crisis management at UKSH
• Ability to work in a team, work independently and be assertive, along with planning and analytical skills
