About this Apprenticeship
University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein is seeking a registered nurse for the IOI ICU unit in Nursing Division III at its Kiel campus. The permanent role involves providing intensive care to patients. Personal and professional development goals are agreed together.
What You'll Learn
- Provide intensive nursing care and carry out treatment and diagnostic procedures
- Provide care before and after surgery, with a focus on general surgery
- Work in an interdisciplinary team and support regular communication
- Take part in case discussions and ethics meetings
- Actively support and help shape nursing and organisational processes
Requirements
- Completed three-year vocational training as a registered nurse or a completed bachelor's degree in nursing
- Ideally, completed specialist training in intensive or intermediate care, or willingness to complete it
- Particular sensitivity, understanding and empathy towards patients and their families
- Flexibility to work a three-shift system, take part in on-call duties and work the unit's usual hours
- Ability to work independently, organise tasks and communicate well, with empathy and a focus on patients and care processes
What Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein offers
- Pay grade KR9 under TV-L for applicants with specialist training who meet the pay scale requirements
- Full-time employment currently covering 38.5 hours per week; part-time work may be agreed within certain working time arrangements
- Free internal training and further education, including specialist intensive care training and EMI induction for new staff
- NAH.SH public transport pass at the highest discount level
