Apprenticeship as Nursing Specialist / Health and Children's Nurse - Specialization in Pediatric Nursing

• What you will learn:
• Independent, comprehensive and process-oriented care of people of all ages in acute, inpatient and outpatient care situations
• Counseling, guidance and support of people in need of care and their relatives in dealing with health and illness
• Independent implementation of physician-ordered measures, particularly measures of medical diagnostics, therapy or rehabilitation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with other professional groups

About the training: The training provides access to various fields of nursing activity. Professional nurses support people in acute, long-term inpatient or outpatient care situations according to their abilities and promote the independence of those in need of care. The chosen specialization provides specific competencies for the care of sick premature babies, children and adolescents.

• Requirements:
• German language proficiency level B2 (B2 certificate required for non-German school qualifications)
• Intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) or equivalent, or lower secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) plus completed 2-year vocational training, or completed training as a nursing assistant or geriatric nursing assistant
• Minimum age 17
• Internship in nursing (more info via link)
• Sense of responsibility, enjoyment of working with people and physical activity
• Foreign school qualifications must be recognized by a German regional council (Regierungspräsidium)
