2027 - Dual Study Program (B.Eng.) Mechanical Engineering

In the mechanical engineering program, you gain solid knowledge in the constructive new and further development of products, planning and design, and project management. The goal is to provide you with a solid understanding of technical relationships and the fundamentals of metalworking. At DHBW, you receive a solid engineering basic education with specialized content from construction technology, mechanics, materials science, and manufacturing technology. During the three-year program, you alternate in three-month cycles between theory phases at the Dual University in Mosbach and practical phases in the company. Start: September 1, 2027 (one-month preliminary internship, studies begin October 1, 2027).

Working independently on departmental tasks; participating in apprentice projects (e.g., project groups, apprentice committee, social media, media team); supporting team members; close collaboration with other apprentices and departments; departmental rotations primarily in technology but also in technical sales, technical purchasing, product management, and technical supplier development; assignments at customers or suppliers on-site.

General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or Fachhochschulreife (university of applied sciences entrance qualification, including passing the DHBW assessment test); enjoyment of learning and teamwork; interest in technical products; reliable, committed, and independent work style; good math and physics skills; technical understanding and logical thinking.
