Patent Attorney

We are strengthening our team with a patent attorney (m/f/d) at the Schweinfurt or Friedrichshafen locations. The team advises and supports the Corporate Research & Development area in all areas of intellectual property protection.

• Support one or more technology and/or specialist areas on IP matters such as inventor advice and support
• Shape and maintain the assigned portfolio of intellectual property rights
• Carry out IP searches and prepare expert opinions
• Handle offensive and defensive disputes, assess risks and develop recommendations for action
• Represent the company before patent offices and courts
• Review and negotiate contracts with third parties regarding intellectual property protection

• Completed science degree in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, mechanical engineering or a comparable degree
• Additional qualification as patent assessor, patent attorney, European Patent Attorney and/or several years of experience in a corporate IP department
• Fluent German and English
• Independent, systematic way of working and strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills in an international environment (German/English)
