Forward Deployed Engineer

adesso is one of the top addresses in the IT world and focuses on optimizing its customers' core business processes. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you identify processes that can be automated with AI agents and bring AI agents into productive operation at the customer.

• Identify customer needs: You identify processes that can be automated with AI agents, e.g. in HR, sales, finance or industry-specific areas.
• Win orders: Together in the team you convince decision makers up to C-level with measurable benefits and turn first solutions into commissioned projects.
• Bring AI agents into operation: With agentic coding you independently develop enterprise applications and bring first AI agents into productive operation within a few weeks.
• Develop revenue and follow-up projects: You are responsible for your own revenue at the customer and create follow-up projects in which several colleagues work long term.
• Integrate into the project: You bring colleagues into the project, enable them quickly and embed the solutions in the customer's daily work.
• On site at the customer: You work closely with the customer's departments and start before the project begins.

• Technical depth: You have solid knowledge of topics such as agentic frameworks, LLM orchestration or cloud architectures, as well as strong coding skills and experience in rapid prototyping.
• AI track record: You have put at least four AI agents or multi-agent workflows with proven business impact into production at customers.
• Professional experience: You bring experience in a relevant field, e.g. agentic coding, AI integration in custom software or process knowledge in HR, sales or an industry.
• Customer responsibility and sales: You have accompanied customer projects with end-to-end responsibility for several years and have the strength to win and expand orders independently.
• Tech stack: You have several years of experience in software development and software architecture, ideally in backend (e.g. Java, Spring Boot/Quarkus), frontend (e.g. TypeScript/React/Angular/Vue) or fullstack.
• Communication and leadership: You mediate between IT and business departments, bring stakeholders along even when there is resistance, and give the team direction.
• Language skills: Very good German and good English skills
