Airbus DS Airborne Solutions GmbH – Remote Pilot

Airbus DS Airborne Solutions GmbH, a subsidiary of Airbus, develops solutions for customers in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Cargo Loading Systems (CLS). A Remote Pilot is wanted in Bremen as soon as possible.

• Flight preparation including mission briefing, weather forecast, NOTAMs, airspace requirements
• Turning customer requirements into concrete mission planning
• Coordinating mission requirements with the operations team and air traffic control (ATC)
• Carrying out the mission to the required extent
• Operational and technical mission debriefing and reporting after landing
• Carrying out technical check flights after maintenance
• Supporting the maintenance team in testing and troubleshooting the UAV and ground systems
• Multifunctional use as payload operator when needed
• Supporting the AVO/PIC in flight preparation, execution and follow-up
• Operating sensors/payload to meet customer requirements for a successful mission
• Monitoring sensor/payload-related system parts
• Carrying out the reconnaissance part of the mission based on customer requirements
• Direct coordination with the AVO/PIC on tactical mission parts
• Direct coordination with stakeholders if required
• Support in air emergencies
• Storing and processing reconnaissance results

• Willingness to be continuously posted to Israel
• Willingness to travel regularly to operating countries as required by the company (including countries with travel warnings from the Federal Foreign Office)
• Valid commercial pilot licence (CPL) with instrument rating (IR)
• Qualification as Heron Air Vehicle Operator with several years of experience is an advantage
• Aviation medical fitness (EASA Class 1, other commercial operations)
• Existing experience abroad (preferably during Bundeswehr missions)
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Willingness to travel regularly to operating countries as required by the company (including countries with travel warnings from the Federal Foreign Office)
