• Flight preparation including e.g. mission briefing, weather forecast, NOTAMs, airspace requirements
• Implementation of customer requirements into concrete mission planning
• Coordination of mission requirements with the deployment team and airspace monitoring (ATC)
• Execution of the mission to the required extent
• Operational and technical mission debriefing and reporting after landing
• Conducting technical check flights after maintenance measures
• Supporting the maintenance team in testing and troubleshooting the UAV and ground systems
• Multifunctional deployment as payload operator when needed:
• Supporting the AVO/PIC in flight preparation, execution and follow-up
• Sensor/payload operation to fulfill customer requirements for a successful mission
• Monitoring sensor/payload-relevant system components
• Conducting the reconnaissance portion of the mission based on customer requirements
• Direct coordination with the AVO/PIC regarding tactical mission portions
• Direct coordination with stakeholders if required
• Assistance in air emergencies
• Storage and processing of reconnaissance results

• Willingness for continuous deployment to Israel
• Willingness for regular business trips to deployment countries as per company policy (including countries with German Foreign Office travel warnings)
• Valid commercial pilot license (CPL) with instrument rating (IR)
• Qualification as Heron Air Vehicle Operator (Remote Pilot) with several years of experience preferred
• Aeromedical fitness (EASA Class 1, other commercial operations)
• Existing international experience (preferably within Bundeswehr deployments)
