• Flight preparation including e.g. mission briefing, weather forecast, NOTAMs, airspace requirements
• Implementation of customer requirements into concrete mission planning
• Coordination of mission requirements with deployment team and air traffic control (ATC)
• Execution of mission to required extent
• Operational and technical mission debriefing and reporting after landing
• Execution of technical check flights after maintenance measures
• Support of maintenance team in testing and troubleshooting of UAV and ground systems
• Multifunctional deployment as Payload Operator when needed:
• Support of AVO/PIC in flight preparation, execution and follow-up
• Sensor/payload operation to fulfill customer requirements for a successful mission
• Monitoring of sensor/payload-relevant system components
• Execution of reconnaissance part of mission based on customer requirements
• Direct coordination with AVO/PIC regarding tactical mission parts
• Direct coordination with stakeholders if required
• Support in air emergencies
• Storage and processing of reconnaissance results

• Willingness for continuous deployment to Israel
• Willingness for regular business trips to deployment countries as per company (including countries with German Foreign Office travel warnings)
• Valid professional pilot license (CPL) with instrument rating (IR)
• Qualification as Heron Air Vehicle Operator with multi-year experience preferred
• Aeromedical fitness (EASA Class 1, other commercial operations)
• Existing international experience (preferably in context of Bundeswehr deployments)
• Very good German and English skills written and spoken
• Willingness for regular business trips to deployment countries as per company (including countries with German Foreign Office travel warnings)
