Process Mechanic / Carpenter / Laminator

Airbus Helicopters is looking for several employees at the Donauwörth site for the Composite area. We are particularly looking for Process Mechanics / Carpenters / Laminators (m/f/d). The Composite area includes the manufacture of composite components (made of composite materials) for all helicopter and Airbus door models. Within the department, it is divided into several teams and task focuses (equipping, assembly & laminating). In addition to permanent contracts, these are particularly fixed-term two-year contracts. The position can also be carried out with reduced weekly working hours and an accordingly adjusted scope of tasks. Please let us know your hours per week in your cover letter.

• Equipping cured CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) and GFRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic) components
• Manual processing of core materials
• Willingness to operate NC-controlled machines (type MAKA and Cutter)
• Documentation of work processes in the production order

• Integrating components and systems in a metal structure
• Integrating components and systems in a composite structure
• Processing components made of metal and composite
• Drilling, screwing, and riveting components
• Sealing parts for aviation
• Deburring metal parts
• OR
• Manufacturing components using hand lay-up process according to specifications
• Production of components of various models and technologies
• Removing components from laminating molds
• Operating laser projection systems
• Conducting self-inspection as part of production inspector duties
• These tasks vary depending on the area of deployment and department. A detailed insight will be given during the interview.

• Completed vocational training, preferred training as process mechanic for plastics, laminator, carpenter, or (automotive) mechanic/mechatronician (m/f/d)
• Experience with composite materials, plastics technology, fiber composites, or wood materials is an advantage
• Experience in handling machines (e.g., circular saw, router, band saw) is an advantage
• Production experience is an advantage
• First experience in plant and machine operation
• Ability to read technical drawings
• High quality awareness
• Language skills: German negotiation-proficient, English basic knowledge
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime
