Project Manager for Agnet TETRA and BOSNET Broadband

Airbus Secure Land Communications is seeking a project manager for Program Delivery BOSNET in Ulm or Berlin. The role manages complex projects to modernise Germany's public safety digital radio network and prepare it for LTE and 5G broadband technology.

• Set up complex broadband project organisations and manage major strategic projects within time, cost and quality targets
• Develop project strategy within wider programme plans and represent programme requirements during bidding and business acquisition
• Manage budgets, resources and schedules while meeting revenue and profit targets, and ensure quality through maturity gates
• Coordinate participants across engineering, service and support, and manage cooperation with product lines, suppliers and partners
• Lead teams across disciplines using modern project management methods to manage complex structures efficiently
• Maintain and develop relationships with external customers and public sector clients
• Make decisions when projects depart from plans and negotiate changes to targets with project and programme sponsors

• Security clearance is required and must be granted by the recognised authorities
• Completed degree in computer science or engineering, such as telecommunications engineering, communications engineering or industrial engineering
• Several years of experience managing complex customer projects and very good business knowledge
• Recognised project management certifications, such as PMI/PMP or at least Silver level within Airbus
• Experience in public safety and mission-critical communications, and working with public sector customers, is an advantage
• Confident use of waterfall, hybrid and agile project management processes and the associated tools
• Business and strategic thinking, with a focus on results and goals
• Ability to provide technical leadership to a team and successfully manage internal and external stakeholders
• Willingness to travel, mainly within Germany and to Finland and France
• Very good German and English
• Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity
