Solution Architect for Mission-Critical Mobile Networks and Services

Airbus Secure Land Communications GmbH is looking for a Solution Architect (f/m/d) at its Sulzbach (Ts.) or Ulm site to support the "Solutions Management - Mobile Communications" department. The company belongs to Airbus Public Safety and Security and is a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions, for example based on TETRA and 5G. You work in an agile team on delivering this system technology following DevSecOps principles. A security clearance is required for this position.

• You design customer-specific, mission-critical overall solutions made up of various applications for communication/collaboration, tactical-operational management, user administration or IT/network management in safety-critical mobile networks, especially in critical infrastructure areas, based on TETRA and in future 5G MCx (3GPP/ETSI Mission Critical Services).
• You identify system dependencies and drive the clarification of technical requirements in cross-functional cooperation with teams of other subsystems such as data center virtualization / IT networking / cyber security, with the development areas and with subcontractors, and of course with the customer.
• You specify the seamless integration of the individual components into a coherent overall solution and the integration of the solution into our customers' IT environments with appropriate robustness, performance and IT security.
• You also actively contribute to creating innovative concepts and defining technical developments according to customer needs in an international environment.
• You support marketing/sales and bid management in the pre-sales, offer and project execution phases as well as technical customer presentations, and take over technical management of subcontractors where needed.
• You support and actively help shape our modern, agile working methods in a program organized according to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

• Successfully completed university degree in a technical field, preferably communications engineering, systems engineering, computer science or similar
• Many years (>10 years) of experience in the architecture of mobile/telecommunications systems (especially TETRA) and in integrating application systems
• Knowledge of data center technologies / cloud architectures / virtualization, IT security and IoT
• Analytical thinking, systematic way of working and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Confident German skills, spoken and written, and very good English skills
