Apprenticeship as Nursing Professional – Start 2027

Conducting multi-day seminars on topics: Communication, Accompanying the Dying, Ethics. Participation in cross-border apprenticeship exchange (with Dutch and Belgian trainees). MARIEN's Multiprofessional Training Station (MIA). Working in the Skills Lab. IT training. Use of the school's own library. Low-cost participation in ZGF courses for personal health maintenance (www.zgf-aachen.de). Theory (2,100 hrs): Block lessons at the state-recognized educational institute (interdisciplinary units on nursing core tasks and framework conditions). Practice (2,500 hrs): Varied assignments in the various specialist departments of Marienhospital Aachen GmbH.

School leaving certificate: Intermediate school diploma (e.g. Realschulabschluss) or a higher qualification (Fachabitur / Abitur). Secondary school diploma (or equivalent) together with: a completed vocational training of at least 2 years OR a completed training of at least 1 year in nursing assistance/nursing assistant (state-recognized). A successfully completed 10-year general school education. Health suitability: You are physically and mentally fit for the daily nursing routine (proof via medical certificate). Minimum age at start of apprenticeship: 16 years.
