Enterprise Architect Integration Architecture

The existing application and infrastructure landscape will be significantly developed in extensive programs. At the same time, IT must meet increasing external and internal regulatory requirements. A central role falls to the Enterprise Architecture division within Allianz Kunde und Markt GmbH, which coordinates the future-proof design and implementation of our business architecture. The position offers you the opportunity to help shape the platforms for integration architecture and Agentic AI, further develop our strategy for web APIs, event-driven APIs and AI agent interfaces (including MCP, A2A), and support teams from technical interface modeling through to implementation – for architecture that truly advances our business!

• Design of the market- and customer-oriented business architecture of the Allianz companies in Germany in close cooperation with providing teams and tribes with a special focus on technical interface modeling
• Design of the connection of agentic interfaces (MCP, A2A) to our API and eventing ecosystem to connect agents securely and governance-compliantly to business functions and data
• Assumption of the Allianz Germany Business Owner role for the Event Broker Service (EBS) and API Management (API Gateway, API Marketplace, Developer Portal), including ensuring regulatory requirements in close cooperation with the Allianz Technology service provider
• Further development and professionalization of onboarding and self-service processes of the API Gateway (Apigee Hybrid), the API Marketplace, and the global eventing platform (EBS)
• Development of a future-proof roadmap for eventing and streaming solutions (Kafka/Confluent, Flink) and conception of an Event Gateway for the secure, governance-compliant opening of Kafka events for external partners in coordination with Group Architecture and Allianz Technology
• Establishment and further development of governance concepts for API and eventing quality as well as establishment of a lean governance process in the agile tribe structures
• Support of onboarding of teams and use cases onto API management and eventing platforms (including partner integration, Developer Portal, API Marketplace)
• Participation in the global API Center of Excellence and in Allianz SE initiatives on the API First! strategy, API Operating Model, and strategic API and integration landscape

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field with a Master's degree
• Several years of professional experience as an Enterprise or Integration Architect in the insurance or financial services environment
• Sound experience in designing API management systems (API Gateway, API Marketplace, Developer Portal) and implementing API-First! measures such as "API-as-a-Product"
• Experience in building and operating event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka/Confluent, Event Broker Service) and with modern integration patterns for streaming and eventing solutions
• Sound knowledge of designing enterprise and business architecture, ideally based on a technical domain model and Domain Driven Design
• Knowledge in the area of agent-based integration architecture (MCP, A2A, AI/LLM gateways) and interest in their further development for an AI-capable application landscape
• Strong skills in community work with architects and preparing content for senior management (C-level) as well as strong communication skills to present complex issues in a target-group-optimized manner; negotiation-proficient German and English in word and writing; certifications such as TOGAF are an advantage
