Intern in Pricing Actuarial Science

In the Pricing Actuarial department of Allianz Versicherungs-AG, we analyse the complex financial risks of the insurance business and make them predictable by applying mathematical models and big data methods. Our strategically important insights form the basis for pricing and tariff development, which we are responsible for together with our interface partners at the product provider for Allianz Germany's entire property insurance business.

• Developing stochastic forecasting models (risk models / lapse models) and technical tariffs, including use of state-of-the-art methods for data analysis and modelling (especially machine learning, statistics, data mining)
• Further developing actuarial methodology and developing efficient, innovative data collection solutions, plus rolling out the related infrastructure and process optimisation along the whole actuarial value chain as part of the Allianz Group Technical Excellence Initiative
• Project work and active involvement in strategic initiatives and focus topics of Allianz Versicherungs-AG
• Actuarial support in tariff and product development (e.g. calculating benefit improvements and impact analyses) and in developing and parameterising pricing tools in underwriting
• Creating actuarial analyses and reports

• Studies in mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics or a comparable field with very good grades; a completed Bachelor's degree is an advantage
• Knowledge of financial and actuarial mathematics is an advantage
• Interest in finance and insurance topics, especially actuarial work, ideally shown through internships
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills and quick comprehension
• Commitment, initiative and good communication skills
• Teamwork skills and at the same time the ability to work independently
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Confident use of standard PC software (especially MS Office)
