About this Apprenticeship

As an anesthesia technical assistant, you learn to monitor patients' breathing and circulation and to prepare them mentally for surgery. The focus is on preparing, monitoring and aftercare of anesthesia. The three-year training starts on 1 September or 1 October depending on the region.

Requirements

  • Medical fitness
  • At least a Realschulabschluss, or a Hauptschulabschluss plus a two-year vocational training or at least one year of training in health and nursing care or elderly care
  • Good grades in German and natural sciences
  • Strong social skills, reliability and conscientiousness
  • Organizational talent, communication skills and resilience
  • Manual dexterity
