As a social insurance specialist, you will become our all-rounder and will be deployed in various specialist departments and customer centers during your apprenticeship.

Closeness to our customers characterizes the work of social insurance specialists; therefore, customer consulting is one of your main tasks. You will advise our insured members personally, by phone, and digitally. Inform our insured members on all questions of health and long-term care insurance regarding topics such as health benefits, insurance coverage, and financing. Calculate contributions, check benefits, and process applications. You will be trained step by step to become an expert in the field of health and long-term care insurance. Develop an understanding of legal foundations and advise our insured members individually and service-oriented. Gain comprehensive insights into different areas and take on varied tasks and responsibility. In doing so, you combine empathy with economic thinking and acting. Experience your apprenticeship in a versatile way at various regional AOK locations, in our AOK-owned training center, and at vocational school.

Your school leaving certificate is the general university entrance qualification (Abitur), entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife), or secondary school diploma (Fachoberschulreife/MSA). You have achieved good grades, reflected particularly in your marks and school behavior. You enjoy communication! You are open-minded and have a good command of German for interacting with our customers and within the team. Our profession revolves around people and their health. That's why it's important that you bring empathy, willingness to perform, and a sense of responsibility, and are also service- and customer-oriented. You like working in a team. Because at AOK, we help and support each other. During your apprenticeship, you will get to know many different places in your region. Therefore, you should be open to new things and flexible. We prepare you perfectly for your future job and are at your side. This way, you quickly become independent and take on responsibility early on.

We offer you an above-average apprenticeship remuneration of €1,449 per month from the first apprenticeship year up to €1,662 per month in the third apprenticeship year (starting from apprenticeship start 01.09.2027), a company pension scheme, capital-forming benefits, vacation pay of €460, and a 13th monthly salary.
