Competence Center Care (1 Year)

Care for Integration (CFI) is designed as a low-threshold entry program aimed primarily at people interested in care work who face barriers to training, to facilitate entry into care training and thus counteract the acute shortage of skilled workers in care. People with a history of flight particularly benefit from this qualification measure. The program has been offered by apm since 2016 in North Rhine-Westphalia, since 2022 in Hesse, since 2023 in Baden-Württemberg, since 2024 in Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Thuringia, and since 2025 also in Berlin and Rhineland-Palatinate. Entry is also possible after the course has started! The Competence Center Care is the first module of the 'Care for Integration (CFI)' program. The 'Competence Center Care' offers you a low-threshold entry into care and is for everyone seeking a meaningful professional future.

Care theory lessons including qualification as a care assistant under §53b SGB XI; job-specific German lessons (from A2 to B1); preparation for the lower secondary school leaving certificate (grade 9); first practical placements in care facilities and/or outpatient services

Physical and health suitability for employment in care; sufficient language skills (approx. A2, certificate not required); approximately 9 years of schooling desirable (certificates not required); empathy, enjoyment of working with people, interest in nursing, medical and social tasks, and teamwork skills

Financial support via the Federal Employment Agency or Jobcenter is possible
