Industrial Mechanic / Plant Mechanic for Operations Maintenance

To strengthen our maintenance team we are looking for a committed personality for our European headquarters in Münster (Westphalia) immediately or at the earliest possible date, full-time (37.5h/week) in a three-shift system for a permanent position. With around 500 employees at our site in the Münster-Süd industrial estate, we produce flexible rubber insulation materials for plant insulation that make a significant contribution to increasing energy efficiency. Safety, sustainability and continuous improvement are guiding principles that we pursue at Armacell every day. For our maintenance department we are looking for reliable and vigorous support for a long-term cooperation.

• Maintenance and repair of automated and interlinked process engineering production plants and conveying equipment, machines and technical operating facilities on the plant premises with the aim of continuously increasing plant availability
• Detection, fault analysis and sustainable elimination of malfunctions on machines and systems, e.g. mixers/kneaders, rolling mills, extruders, vulcanisation ovens and packaging robots
• Assembly, welding and installation work
• Cooperation with maintenance and repair companies
• Observance of operational work and process instructions as well as occupational safety regulations
• Participation in continuous improvement by active contribution to sustainable process tracking within the framework of our comprehensive production system and projects

• Completed vocational training as a plant mechanic (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d), mechanical engineer (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
• At least 2 years of professional experience in maintenance and repair of relevant machines and systems
• Assembly and welding skills (MAG/TIG/stick welding) and knowledge of turning and milling
• Good knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics are desirable (gas, drive, control, automation, building, fire protection technology)
• Experience with production systems such as Lean or World Class Manufacturing are desirable
• Independent work as well as reliable and systematic way of working
• Solution- and goal-oriented way of working with strong team spirit and continuous willingness to learn
• Proof of forklift truck licence and aerial work platform operator certificate, driving licence class B
• Good German skills in word and writing
• Willingness to work shifts and rotating weekend work with compensatory time off
• Preventive hazard awareness and willingness to act ergonomically consciously
