About this Apprenticeship
You will inspect road surfaces, guardrails and bridges for damage, repair and asphalt them. You will also take care of green maintenance and ensure clear roads on our motorways in winter. Motorway without a driving licence? Not with us! That's why we pay for your driving licence classes B (car), C and CE (truck with trailer) during your apprenticeship.

Requirements
- Willingness to learn, perform and commit
- Reliability, teamwork and initiative
- Manual dexterity and technical understanding
- At least a lower secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent vocational training maturity
- Ideally satisfactory grades in German, Mathematics and Physics/Technology or Natural Sciences
- Physical resilience for driving vehicles and for physical work outdoors in all seasons
What Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes offers
- You are part of the team from day one. Our trainers support you as partners, which is why we guarantee you a permanent position after successful completion of your apprenticeship (in accordance with TV-Nachwuchskräfte Autobahn).
- You receive a good apprenticeship remuneration according to our in-house collective agreement: 1st year: 1,418.26 euros / 2nd year: 1,468.20 euros / 3rd year: 1,514.02 euros, plus an annual special payment and a completion bonus.
- You get 30 + 1 days of annual leave and paid leave for exam preparation.
- We pay for your driving licences classes B (car), C and CE (truck with trailer) after the probationary period.
- We also cover all learning and training materials.
- You also receive your smart orange work clothing from us and we even take care of the free laundry service for you.
