Civil Engineer / Traffic Engineer Road Planning / Road Construction Projects

To support the team in the planning department, Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is looking for a Civil Engineer/Traffic Engineer (f/m/d) for road planning/road construction projects, starting at the earliest possible time. Together with the team, you will carry out forward-looking infrastructure projects, e.g. road planning support for bridge replacement measures, the 6- and 8-lane expansion planning of the motorways, and the planning of junctions and rest areas from the idea to realization.

• Preparing the design, approval and execution planning of expansion, conversion and maintenance measures, e.g. replacement bridge constructions for the motorways within the Northern Bavaria branch area
• Coordinating the planning with the departments involved (e.g. environmental planning, procurement office, etc.)
• Negotiating with public interest bodies (e.g. municipalities, citizens' initiatives, water management offices or other road construction authorities)
• Supporting the preparation of tender documents and the awarding of planning services to engineering firms, as well as coordinating them, including participation in contract handling

• Completed university degree in civil engineering (preferably with a specialization in traffic planning, road planning, road construction) or equivalent suitability acquired through professional experience
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing (at least level C1 according to CEFR)
• Driver's license class B and willingness to make business trips
• Desirable: Experience in planning, construction preparation and handling of road traffic facilities
