Civil Engineer for Highway Route Planning

Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes is seeking support for its planning team in Hohen Neuendorf as soon as possible. The role covers leading, planning and coordinating highway construction, rebuilding, expansion and maintenance projects.

• Lead projects and handle planning, management and quality checks for highway construction, rebuilding, expansion and maintenance, covering HOAI service phases 1 to 7.
• Prepare planning documents and specialist reports.
• Coordinate everyone involved in planning, including engineering firms, departments of Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes and third parties.
• Invite tenders and award planning contracts to engineering firms.
• Coordinate with specialist authorities, local and regional authorities and associations, and contribute to public communications.

• A university degree at master's or Diplom engineering level in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering or a subject with similar content.
• Very good spoken and written German, at least C1 level, with confident communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of technical standards and regulations.
• Willingness to travel within the branch's area.
• A category B driving licence.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of GIS and CAD software, such as AutoCAD, AllPlan, CARD/1, Stratis or RIBcivil.
• Preferred: experience in road planning and the design of road transport infrastructure.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of landscape planning and environmental and water law.
• Preferred: knowledge of common budgeting and procurement guidelines and rules.
