Civil Engineer Road Planning and Road Design - Netphen Branch Office

As a Civil Engineer for Road Planning and Road Design at the Netphen branch office, you create designs for new construction, expansion, and reconstruction projects including ancillary facilities, drainage, noise protection, and road equipment according to HOAI service phases 1-5. You award engineering services, negotiate with public interest stakeholders, and apply technical standards and regulations.

• Preparation of road designs for new construction, expansion, and reconstruction projects including all ancillary facilities and operations as well as hydraulic and noise protection contributions according to HOAI § 47, service phases 1-5 (basic evaluation, preliminary planning, design planning, approval planning, and implementation planning)
• Creation of further required plans such as drainage systems, noise protection, and road equipment
• Awarding of engineering services and handling of engineering contracts
• Negotiation with public interest stakeholders

• At least a completed Bachelor's/Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Infrastructure Planning/Transport Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge in traffic and road planning including associated intersection law and relevant technical standards and regulations of road and civil engineering, plus several years of experience in planning projects in infrastructure and road traffic planning
• Knowledge in procurement and construction contract law as well as construction and planning law, particularly the plan approval procedure
• Sound knowledge of relevant guidelines and regulations
• Secure command of the German language
• Class B driver's license (desirable)
• Good IT skills and confident use of MS Office programs (desirable)
• Strong social and communication skills
